Connecting to VPN (GlobalProtect)

Willamette Community members can access internal applications and data from off campus by connecting to our VPN, GlobalProtect, from a Willamette owned machine.

 

To connect to the VPN from home, please go to https://firewall.willamette.edu/ and sign in with your Willamette username and password.

Please note: you will be prompted to authenticate with Duo. If you do not see the prompt, open the application device.

If you are using a hardware token when logging in, enter your username as normal but enter your password, a comma, and then the passcode generated by your hardware token (example: password,123456).

 

Once logged in, select the version compatible with your hardware to download. If you do not know which version to download, please contact the Help Desk, wits@willamette.edu.

 

Follow the download instructions and launch GlobalProtect on your computer. Type firewall.willamette.edu as the Portal, and then connect with your Willamette username and password. Please note: once again you will be prompted to authenticate with Duo. If you do not see the prompt, open the application on your device as soon as possible. It times out quickly.
