Google Workspace Marketplace Apps
Overview
Marketplace Apps are add-ons to Google Workspace provided by developers other than Google.
All Google Workspace Marketplace Apps will require some degree of access to your Google account.
Details
To search for apps, use the "Get Add-ons" tool for the specific Google Workspace application you are currently using. For instance, in Gmail, the "Get Add-ons" tool can be found in the toolbar at the right side of the screen, as a "+" icon. In Google Docs and Google Sheets, it can be found in the "Add-ons" drop-down menu.
Some apps are standalone, not tied to a single Google Workspace application. Apps of this category can be found in the "Google apps" menu - the 3x3 grid icon just to the left of your Google Account button at the top-right of the screen. Click the grid icon and scroll to the very bottom of the resulting drop-down menu, then click "More from Google Workspace Marketplace".
App Availability
Due to privacy and security concerns, Willamette only makes approved apps available to our users. If an app is not currently on the approved list, you will see a "App not whitelisted for install by admin" message when viewing the app in the Marketplace.
You can request an app be added to the approved list by submitting a request in the WITS support portal. Please understand that many apps ask for excessive access to confidential information and therefore will not be approved.
