How to Share Your Screen

Google Meet allows for screen sharing, however Google uses the phrase “Present Your Screen.”  This guide will explain how to Present Your Screen and also what sort of controls Meeting Hosts have to allow and restrict who can share their screen.

In a meeting, click the icon that looks like a rectangle with an up arrow to “Present Now.”

Select what you would like to share. If you are using Chrome or Edge, you will be able to share a specific tab. If not, you have the option to share a window or your full screen.

If you would like to confirm who can share their screen, you can access your host controls, clicking the padlock icon on the lower right of your meeting

Select the option that is best for your Meeting: either allow contributors to share their screen or do not allow anyone to share their screen.

If you would like one or two individuals to share their screen, you can promote attendees to Co-Host.
